Odd behavior in Vsphere - VM displays off-line but is up and accessible

I can Rconsole to the server and logon but.......

Via Vsphere client when checking same VM the Summary tab displays:

VMware Tools - not running (Current)

IP address is blank

If I select the Console tab and move the mouse around I get the Ctrl-Alt-Delete splash screen.

If I then go back to the Summary tab Vmware Tools now show Running (Current)and an IP address is displayed.

In 15 to 20 minutes the same behavior repeats.

I have multiple VM on the same host and none present this behavior.

Any advice?
